Paul Dupré

Paul Dupré has owned and operated Western Maritime Surveyors since 1988. Starting in 1971, Paul built and repaired all types of marine craft, in fiberglass, composites, wood and metal. His vast experience in building, re-fitting and repairing boats has given Paul the necessary grounding to accurately assess damage and repair any vessel. He brings this unique and diverse knowledge to the craft of surveying. Paul is acknowledged as one of the senior surveyors on the West Coast. Paul has over 25 years of off shore sailing and has extensive experience delivering marine vessels to various destinations throughout the world. An invited speaker to local yacht clubs and power sailing organizations, Paul’s expertise and knowledge are a much sought after commodity.

David Wood

David Wood brings to Western Maritime over 30 years of experience building, repairing and restoring boats. In addition to his structural skills and knowledge, David is an avid sailor, having both off shore and racing experience. He is a regular participant in the Swiftsure races and has sailed solo to the South Seas and back. David has also delivered a wide variety of marine craft to various destinations in both the Pacific and Atlantic regions. With a background and training in the sciences, David approaches his work with a precise scientific attitude: thorough and methodical. It has been a natural progression for David to transfer his vast experience into the past five years of surveying for Western Maritime Surveyors. He will continue to apply that knowledge and experience to the benefit of Westerns’ many customers.
